Honorable Mentions?

HOpefully, I'm not the only one who did something stupid.

Sunday, after the Seattle Santarchy a bunch of us brunched together. We had mimosas. I shot myself in the damn eye with a champagne cork. Now I'm all PTSD when I hear the pop. Stupid Santa!

Who wants to go to the firing range with me?

Santa Kingpin! A helpful hint for opening champagne:

point the cork towards someone *else*'s butt! A good time for all (even the butt - it doesn't hurt at all, at least not compared to getting it in the EYE!)

I prescribe exposure therapy - you'll need to open numerous bottles of champagne to desensitize yourself to the sound. Fortunately, 'tis the season!

    HO!

    Santa's Lil' Ho!

Well, let's see.... I drank a penguin full or yeager and missed most of santacon. I was there, people have memories and plenty of stories. I guess that my boyfriend really enjoyed all the kissing on the bus ride I don't remember. At least I can kiss sloppily even when drunk - always good to know.

My stupid thing, was for three years I wanted to go to the erotic bakers. I guess that I finally did! I even purchased bondage dice, that I do remember having at some bar for about 10 seconds. I had no idea how I got them, and have no idea where they went. I'm so bummed I don't remember finally crossing the threshold.

You're also forgetting the part where you broke an heirloom chair and a couch, one for each Santarchy.

Even though this tribe and thread are predominantly overrun with West coast Santas....AND....I can't really out stupid any of you....I'm chiming in anyway. :-)

Someday I'd love to join a west coast Santacon....you all sound like some wild and wonderful santa freaks. I've enjoyed reading your posts.
      Thanks for the laughs! :-)

The title of the thread is "honorable mentions" so I'm just gonna share a few fond moments of my own, even though they aren't wild or radically stupid.
I got to do 2 santarchies this year. Wash DC and Baltimore - back to back weekends. Needless to say....this has taken a toll on my feet, well shit, my whole body, actually. LOL.

      Anyway....some of my favorite moments...

      In WASHINGTON DC:
      - An early Santa Brunch with the DC burner choir and friends
      - Singing on the steps of the National History Museum and leading a santa cheer
      - Remembering my camera this year and getting great photos!
      - Watching the other santas ride the the carousel and snappin pics (I rode last year)
      - Literally stopping traffic on our way to the Wash Monument. Can you say "Santa Traffic Jam"? Made a great photo in the Washington Post.
Having "Left over" santas this year for the "Santa hands around the Wash monument"....had to have broken 200 this year...yay!
      - Getting a mock proposal from a tourist in front of the white house and posing for pics
      - Singing to the DC Cops
      - Finding a friend of mine's boyfriend passed out in the street in his Santa suit. Poor thing. We woke him up and he went right back into the bar for more....lol
      - Lots of really AWESOME Santa dancing
      - Shouting Santa LOVE from the window of Porter's bar
      - Riding the DC Metro in Santa gear and the reactions we got....but the best was on the way home with my santa friend MK....we got on the metro and WHAM! Some really scary bum SCREAMED at us......I don't know the hell he was saying but he scared the SHIT out of everyone around.....we took our seats and he quieted down eventually. But it caused a bit of laughter afterwards and I caught this one woman's eye and she just smiled....I mouthed to her...."and you all thought WE were nuts...".
      - Lots more but too much to put here.

      In BALTIMORE:
      - Lots of Santa hugs
      - Much smaller and more intmate crew of Santas than DC...but awesome. A totally different and unique experience and I would not have traded it for anything.
      - The Baltimore Sun reporter: He was very cool. Much more fun than the reporter from the Wash Post. This Balt Sun dude "got it" and was cracking jokes with us. He really enjoyed his assignment and hung with us for a bit (and the photog too).
      - An amazingly more MIXED response from joe public than in DC. Everything from totally embracing us to people being scared silly. But most really loved us and wanted pics.
      - Cheering on a parade of 200 Tuba players as they passed us to reach their concert destination. They really loved it and we loved them!
      - Becoming the "Stars" at the bar, HOWL AT THE MOON. Lots of silly santa behavior as we kept getting called up on stage for all kinds of naughty fun...including....Santa Lisa giving a lap dance to a Brittish tourist.
      - Invading the Irish Pub, "Cat's Eye" in the legendary Fells Point and truly being the entertainment of the evening with dancing and what not....but the highlight was when the band called me up on stage to sing.....TWICE.....woot! I sang "Please come home for Christmas" and "Santa Claus is coming to town"....of course.....hehehe
      - Once again there are many more memories but not enough room here...

      For both....MEETING AWESOME PEOPLE

I love you all, you freaks!!!
