to all my whiny bitch SF santas

Every fucking year, we east bay peeps schlep our asses over to your fog-encrusted "city" and do the same fucking thing every fucking year. Same bars, same tourists, same cops, same Frank Chu. Yawn. No, super fucking yawn.

But this ONE year that we try to do something different, all you can manage to do is whine, piss and moan about how shitty Oakland is or how difficult it is to get over here or how much it sucks. Well, all I have to say to that is:

If you're gonna whine like a little elf,
we're gonna dress you like a little elf.

See you tomorrow, bitches!

To all the whiny bitch east bay people: You're making as much noise, if not more, about SF people bitching about this very-last-minute revelation that Santa's going to have to get his ass on a boat AWAY from SF for SantaCon, not towards it.

"Wah! Now it's our turn! Wah!"

    Inferiority complex much?

      Hardly, you rotten poopface.

The whingy SF reactions are pathetic.

Inferiority? Not even close. I choose Oakland, again and again.

      Our vocal spasms:
It's not some miniature form of nationalism. It's our disbelief at the degree of arrogance, lack of basic capabilities and the hypocrisy of so called metropolitan sophisticates.

"Don hate me cuz I'm beautiful.
You just be envious of obvious superiority of my newly ADOPTED TOWN !!"

Maybe every fucker that decides to live in a bubble should get the airholes duct taped shut.

      Gooooooood Night, Gracie!

Go on, keep proving my point.

w come now, ya can't relocate a classically SF event and then expect that nobody is going to react at all with negativity. Controversial decisions beget a controversial response. I thought that was the point of shaking things up, to piss people off a little.

Most of the whining seems playful to me. Now you kids go have a good time!

I totally expected some kvetching but the lameness of the baloney is surprising.

I love the wanking hue and cry!!

Just love poking and tilting at the wanking windmill just as much!!!

To the RAMPARTS!! For a valiant uh, something or other!!

            Huzzah!!

My issue: I have to start late (I'm in the middle of moving) and I don't want to walk through downtown Oakland, a city I don't know, by myself in my sexy Santa outfit....so if y'all are in Oaktown by the time I want to join, you just lost a Santa who will then pick another party to go to....

I dont know if anyone knew this or not but a few hundred santas were left behind in SF. The boat was full and they didnt plan another boat for the rest of them.

It was unfortunate but the hundred or so of us still had an AWESOME time with the Jewish contingent (i forgot the name of the band). Great bunch of guys. Starting from Hooters, we toured North Beach and made our way up to Union Square - ala Macy's, and so many bars I lost count as I went into a drunkin Santa Coma.

I really had a great time and met an incredible cool bunch of new people.

Anyone need a ticket to Oaktown, we have two.

Damn Santas!!! It's freaken SantaCON!!!! Isn't it about dressing up as santa and having fun no matter where the hell you are?
Yes I was one of many Santas that got left behind by the boat. I was bummed but I knew I did NOT want to go to Oakland.
I enjoyed the reception we got in SF. We went where ever we wanted to go and it was a blast.
Just one minor incident in Macys....they didn't appreciate Gothalot's megaphone. But he politely turned it off, to which the over-zealous security guard began to get physical.
It was worth it, when we saw the shoppers smiling and laughing at the sight of hundreds of Santas riding up and down the escalator.
And to end the night with my very first cablecar ride! ; )
                  Ho Ho Ho

O NOES!!!! Poor Santa! Has to get on a BOAT!!!!!

Back in the day, Santa drove, flew, or fuckign hitch-hiked to get to where the action was! And THEN we risked arrest (etc!) to get our Santa on. Since then, things have deteriorated to the point where the so-called "SF Santarchy" has become a shadow of its former self - no better than a pub crawl with red hats. This year's organizers are boldly taking Santa by the horns and re-engaging in the classic edgy Santa model - just a little bit, to be sure, but it's better than the retirement-home style "lets go from bar to bar in SF" model that SF (the ORIGINAL) Santa has degenerated into.

Y'all New-skool Whiney Santas are bringing a new definition to the word "pathetic."

Check out this classic video of the second EVER Santacon, shot by Scott Beale in Portland in 1996

      laughingsquid.com/youd-bett...ntacon-96/

THEN, whine all you want! Noobz.

Oh fuck that Mermaid. There is nothing wrong with a red hatted pub crawl.

I think the important lesson here is that this city needs 2 events; one of anarchist bullshit that you keep praising about from the late 90s like some lovesick, socially awkward, goth anti-society reject...

And one for those of us who just like to get Santified, sing songs, drink some beer and have fun with our friends.

Next year we simply need events.

If you keep having to go back to 96 for examples of your beloved good times Santa Con, maybe it's time you realized that con has died. This is not your grandpa's con!
